When traveling abroad it is vital to always have adequate travel insurance to cover you and all your family for the entire trip. If you are choosing to go on a winter holiday then you may need to careful consider what activities you may be doing and check prior to leaving, if you are covered for those in your holiday insurance package.
Skiing and snowboarding are often popular activities to do on a winter holiday but usually require an upgrade of insurance as participating in them can increase the risk of injury. Other activities that you may wish to try out include sledging and husky rides. Again you should make your insurance company aware of any “out of the ordinary” activities you wish to do as if your holiday insurance does become void, you could be left with a medical bill for thousands of pounds.
Always take your travel insurance documents with you when going away should you need to contact them whilst on holiday.
