This is a great way to get a holiday last minute at a bargain price as there are often some great deals to be had if you can book a pitch a day or two before you wish to go. It also means you can plan trips based around the weather as the forecast tends to be more accurate the nearer it is.
Often caravan pitches can be as little as £5 a night with electric hook up so it really is a cheap break away. If you have children this can often be one of the cheapest ways of camping. If you stay on a site with a few facilities such as a pool and a games room you may not have to spend much else when away too.
